Colorbond Fencing

Colorbond fencing has long been a popular choice for homes and businesses around Brisbane. These steel fence panels offer unmatched privacy, good longevity, and a range of popular colours to easily match your existing roof and gutters. Colorbond fences are also fire resistant, won’t rot, don’t harbour termites, and are easily maintained.

Timber Fencing

Timber is another popular choice for fencing material due to its affordability, versatility, sustainability, and natural appeal. It looks equally at home in suburban and rural settings. Although timber is unlikely to last as long as some other materials, it is simple to customise and easy to repair damaged palings. We can supply and install a range of timber fencing styles, including treated pine, hardwood, red gum, capped fences, picket fences, privacy screens, and more.

FAQs

FAQs About Our Fencing Installations

What type of fencing should I choose?

We offer a large range of fencing options, from glass pool fences and timber boundary fences to aluminium, security, and colorbond fencing. Each type of fencing is ideal for specific applications and budgets. If you’re not sure what you need, we can recommend the best fence for your property that will meet your budget and fit your style.

Can you help with a large-scale fencing job?

Absolutely! Whether you need hundreds of metres, or even kilometres of fencing, we can handle it. No job is too big for us — you can count on our capable team to get it done.

Can you help me design a solution?

Yes! We love custom requests and can collaborate with you to design a fencing solution that fits your vision and suits your space.

Do you offer wholesale fencing supplies?

Yes. If you’re looking to install the fence yourself and just need a fencing supplier, we’re happy to help. Reach out to the team and we can get back to you with pricing.

What areas do you provide fence installation services?

Headquartered in Burpengary, our team of fence installers are within easy reach of Moreton Bay and North Brisbane suburbs, including Narangba, Caboolture, Morayfield, Kallangur, North Lakes, and surrounds.

Why should I choose you instead of other structural landscaping companies?

After 8+ years in business (and 15+ years’ experience), we’re well established and have built up the skills, resources, and expertise to take on even the biggest projects. And unlike many other fencing contractors, we’ve been around for long enough to see our creations stand the test of time! We don’t compromise on our service, workmanship, or choice of products. So if you’re looking for an exceptional result, choose the team that’s a cut above the rest. Learn more about what makes us different.

What council regulations apply to fencing installations?

In the Moreton Bay Regional Council (where we’re based, along with most of our projects and customers), there are several relevant laws to keep in mind when building a fence.

If your fence is 2 m (or more) above natural ground level, you’ll need to get it approved by a private building certifier.

When it comes to pool fencing, there are specific swimming pool safety standards that must be met. For instance, your pool fence must reach a minimum height, have non-climbable zones, and have self-closing and latching gates.

When you work with Hammer & Shine, we’ll help guide you through any council regulations and approvals.

Who pays for building or replacing a boundary fence?

When building or constructing a dividing fence between a neighbouring business or homeowner, each side has some responsibility for the cost. In general, both owners pay for the shared fence equally. However, if one owner wants something specific (e.g. a higher cost solution) that isn’t considered essential, they are liable for the extra cost.

However, if your boundary fence borders public land, council/state/federal governments are not required to contribute to the cost.

How much do you charge for fence installation?

Since we custom quote every project, it’s hard to say — it will depend on the materials, access, and length of the fence. Reach out for a free quote and we’ll get back to you with pricing info and options. The good news is that our focus on quality products (Australian-made wherever possible) and quality workmanship means that you know you’ll get what you pay for — fencing that looks great and lasts.

How long will it take to get a quote?

We respond to all quote requests in 48 hours or less. But if you need help urgently, you can also contact us via mobile or or send us an email.
